Flash Gordon (Sci Fi, 9 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Based on the popular comic books and old movie serials, Eric Johnson stars as Flash Gordon, a guy living a seemingly normal life and occasionally winning marathons just for the fun of it. His life

Survivorman (Discovery, 9 p.m. ET)
Season Premiere. With the recent questions surrounding the authenticity of Discovery's Man vs. Wild, Les Stroud of Survivorman has much more to worry about as the survival expert heads out alone - with not much more than his clothes and 50 pounds of camera gear - for nine
weeks in a variety of survival simulations. In the premiere, Stroud sweats it out in the Kalahari Desert, where temperatures on the sand can reach 140 degrees. As if the heat isn't bad enough, he must also avoid the deadly scorpions and venomous snakes, and survive for a week on only four days worth of water.
Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge (CMT, 9 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Because celebrity boxing isn't enough, now the C and D-list celebrities are getting on top of mechanical
bulls in order to give themselves just a little more camera time. Rodeo champion Ty Murray teaches the "celebrities," including: Rapper Vanilla Ice, Actors Leif Garrett, Stephen Baldwin and Francesco Quinn, Former NFL Player "Rocket" Raghib Ismail, Motocross Rider "Cowboy" Kenny Bartram, American Gladiator "Nitro" Dan Clark, Reality Star Jonny "Fairplay" Dalton, and UFC Fighter Josh Haynes.
