Janice Dickinson

The Oxygen Network's offering of The Janice Dickinson's Modeling Agency just might be more than a breath of fresh air. Modeling Agency premiered on June 6th of 06, (June 6, 2006 at 10 P.M.) the day that many Internet blogs proclaimed the appearance of the anti-Christ on Earth. Despite the prophecy, Dickinson's heavenly body led the way as her show resounded through the airwaves with the refreshing thundering brimstone characteristic of the supermodel. The show launched with a precise pattern between the planet of beauty, cosmetic stuff and the planet associated with models, Venus, and the grand, overstated, bold, potentially pretentious Jupiter. Can it be that The Janice Dickinson's Modeling Agency might be the first show about the world of beauty, fashion and obsession with cosmetic influences that actually tells the truth? Yep. Because of that, expect the show to fair on the fickle runway of viewers better than its predecessors.

While initial watercooler viewer commentary addresses strong visceral reactions to the show, JD's MA dredges up a puncturing look at the MO of many in the beauty industry. She'll slay a truckload of sacred cows before she's done. Dickinson (February 17, 1953, Brooklyn, NY) has made a career in raising eyebrows and collecting gasps of shock and disbelief. Only an Aquarian with a collection of planets in Aries, like Dickinson carries in her horoscope handbag, can take on a "give a dang" attitude she works to perfection. She takes no guff from anyone and speaks her mind whenever she wants. In a true Aries, "I’m first in line," fashion, she claims to have coined the phrase supermodel and unabashedly describes herself as one. She states that winners on America's Next Top Model do not have the stuff to be high-end models in the real world. Her bare bones, tell it like it is nature grants her carte blanche in declaring and publishing her truth that, "Everything is About Me and Fake and I'm Perfect."

No matter how an astrologer slices up the heavens, Dickinson and her agency show both specialize in rocking the industry with truth and maybe a few outrageous speculations. Given that the show holds a stand off pattern between the "this is what's so," Jupiter and the illusive, seductive veil of Venus, the risk Oxygen took on Dickinson pays off. Those who tune in will find the jolt of the show outrageous and the tenor refreshing. Once Jupiter changes his course in July, the show gains an increasing wave of popularity. Dickinson's chart also bears a strong patterning of Jupiter natally and receives the sanction of the truthful taleteller Jupiter. Given society's voyeuristic obsession with beauty and the icons of beauty, word spreads of Dickinson's edgy, honest style. Dickinson seems to believe that if you tell the truth about life, people wrap around it. Her honesty, unlike some judges and hosts on reality shows, claims an agenda of truth and never an attitude of mean spiritedness.

Her honesty, unlike some judges and hosts on reality shows, claims an agenda of truth and never an attitude of mean spiritedness.

Not only will the show gain momentum as Dickinson and the horoscopic nature of the show slay the illusions of those blinded by bright lights, the show secures a stomach slimming notch in the belt of the Oxygen network.

Try This On For Size

How would you like to be as out there as Janice Dickinson? You might contend you just don't have the ration of Aquarius and Aries energy that causes a person to be outspoken and not to care about the reaction as she does. Most astrologers contend that every person has Aquarius and Aries somewhere in their charts. They do. When a person watches a celebrity in action and stands in awe of the strength of their unique or outrageous character, it becomes a stellar time for emulation. It's a call to personal arms and on the crusade to create extraordinary confidence. Why not speak up when feeling the urge to do so? Why not say those fantasy things that linger in your mind and possibly cause regret later if not said? Sure, some may take offense if you come off overly brusque, but that's what follow-up conversation resolves. Imagine if you were your own model of courageous action and verbalization in life. While walking down that runway, you might take off in totally new life directions.

GEMINI (May 22-June 21)
Imagine that you lived in Anytown, USA and the bands rehearsed for the gala Fourth of July parade just around the corner. Pay particular attention to the drums. Hear the cadence. Feel the beat. When a big ole bass drum resonates in your chest, you can't help but be in synch with everything around you. There's no need for words. Fall in, get in step and march forward, strutting your best stuff. Fewer words do more. When you know your stuff, just let it fill you like the tempo setting, smartly marching drums of a summer time parade.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)
Think of yourself as a screenwriter. Show it. Don't tell it. It’s one of those times when you can’t explain away those illusive feelings. Wouldn't you know it? Your emotional throttle pushes wide open almost by itself. Get in there with the folks close to you in your world and show them how it's done. Despite initial reactions of resistance things warm quickly and the next thing you know everyone cozies around the campfire, kitchen table or on the back porch checking out the sky to tell the most amazing stories about everything and nothing.

LEO (July 23-August 22)
If you take on the work efforts of the time cheerfully, progress occurs more easily. Now you can fulfill your own prophecy. Should you maintain that little things will go wrong - like pencils breaking when you're in a rush to write down something vital - they will. While this week's remedy does not suggest a Disney-like Pollyannaish ignoring of life's demands, it includes a bit of the "whistle while you work" theme. You get to put a lot of effort into what you really like to do. How lucky are you? Before you know it, your aura shines matching your best efforts.

VIRGO (August 23-September 22)
Take nothing for granted. When you issue a need or directive and the co-participant in your life in this matter replies, "Uh-huh," trust your instinct that they didn't turn the page with you. Make sure all your needs, desires and expectations get heard completely. Later, you'll not have to deal with unfulfilled expectations. While you love the forewarned is forearmed mind set, the energy behind this scenario intends to be preventive without expecting that Murphy's Law has its way with you. If something or someone has its way with you, it's because that's your way, too.

LIBRA (September 23-October 22)
It's really not true that life runs through impersonal conduits. Things might feel a bit distant, aloof as you address other priorities. You're losing no ground with those close to you. Here's the tip: Reset what you're bringing to the table. Focus your energy. Reset rich passion for life. Make everything the big deal that it is without exaggerating. Minimize nothing, especially the importance of feeling alive, vital and thrilled to be upon the planet. Bring that to the table and watch what happens. Even those claiming they're not that hungry develop quite the appetite.

SCORPIO (October 23-November 22)
Despite the recent emotional backsliding felt by the hardcore reality of conditions in life, your passion pushes to unprecedented levels. Go with it - that is your nature, after all. Who are you to let reality get in the way? Details and logistics be damned. Figure out a way to work it so that life gets out of your way pronto. That's your way to restore a sense of satisfaction. The Universe asks if you believe in the miracle of creation, meaning when you rock and give it all you got, isn't it like magic? Go for the good stuff that you can trust in the long haul. Nothing less will do.

SAGITTARIUS (November 23-December 22)
Relationship energy rises higher. It's like a billowing cloud hovering on the horizon directly above the road you travel. Instead of thinking about how it's so demanding to drive through a downpour, what if you just pulled off the road, ran around in the rain and enjoyed nature at its best? How refreshing is that? Your passions struggle to take over your sensibilities. Consider what most creative types contend: When feeling unlimited passion, the commitment to cause and purpose rises. Suddenly the sky parts and all missing knowledge pours through like rain.

CAPRICORN (December 23-January 20)
While a great intensity of feeling seeks to play out in your work world, budget your output so those close to you do not feel like you've put them aside. If your lover/mate abruptly feels set in dry dock with no workers to scrape the barnacles off their hull as agreed and on schedule, you’re going to have a lot of quiet time when you do return home. There are sufficient amounts of energy and passion to go around. When returning from a hard run in the professional realm, stop and pick up a nice loofa and some lotion on the way home. Bet you can make your mate keel over.

AQUARIUS (January 21-February 18)
When people state their needs and interests, they're not intending to throw a wet blanket on your plans. If you worked hard at spinning such an exchange smartly, you could be flattered. Here's someone wanting to include you in their most favorite activities. Cool! You get to decide what you are willing to offer and when. Sometimes you might decline. Indicate where your interest lies. With a little stirring, you'll be able to come to a workable agreement for the next couple of steps. You share one huge thing in common. Both want what you want. Agree on that.

PISCES (February 19-March 20)
The career corner squeezes you hard if you fail to give it enough attention and dedication. While the planets encourage you to drift along on those dreamy airwaves of yours, remember, you can maintain two beams of energy at once. It's an odd form of multi-tasking. When most dreamy, focus upon work efforts requiring less attention. You are dealing with your livelihood here. Worst case, you get to play with your creative concepts all you want when you get home. Your mate desperately wants to know your relationship concept is creative. What do you reckon?

ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Get a grip on cold hard cash and how you use it to make you feel all warm and fuzzy. Fiscal accountability insists upon your attention. Whether figuring how to get a raise or financial backing for your latest empire idea, verifying that your broker is not making you broker, or remembering to write down all those ATM transactions, apply impeccable focus. Reality check relationship status to ensure your partner is as happy as you think she/he should be. Offer your best quality, making no promises you cannot afford either economically or energetically.

TAURUS (April 20-May 21)
The domestic push urges you to get everything you need in place. You might fix a few delinquent household items, but if you long for something more when you finish, look deeper. There's a rising internal wave filled with desire that seeks absolute restoration of passion. Like a tsunami at sea, it's barely noticeable. Within the next fortnight, the wave nears the shores of your attention. Attend to subtle urges as soon as felt. Indicate to those close to you that the wave approaches, though you have no words to describe it now. Everyone keeps their head above water.
