soccer debut. At 9 p.m., Beckham and the L.A. Galaxy will go up against Chelsea, one of England's best teams. This profile of Posh Spice's man includes a video diary of his move to the United States and a look at his playing history with England and Real Madrid.

Private Sessions (A&E, 9 a.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Each week Lynn Hoffman hosts this one-hour performance and interview series. Filmed in a small studio in New York City, Hoffman will speak with top names in entertainment, exploring
their bodies of work. The premiere episode features Avril Lavigne as she performs her hit songs "Girlfriend" and "Complicated," among others. Upcoming episodes will include The Goo Goo Dolls, Toby Keith, Blues Traveler, and Meat Loaf.
Shopping with Chefs (Fine Living, 8 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Chefs David Myers and Jill Davie take you behind the scenes to see what chefs buy when they go shopping. Learn how to pick your rosemary, what makes a great knife block or peppermill,
how to find fresh food, along with much more expert advice. The more you learn about the shopping, the better your cooking will be! Starting next week, the show will air at 1 p.m. ET.
The Kill Point (Spike TV, 9 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. John Leguizamo stars as Mr. Wolf, the leader of a group of former U.S. soldiers who attempt to rob a large bank in Pittsburgh. When things don't go as planned, the group takes twelve hostages, and Mr. Wolf finds himself battling them, the members on his team, and himself. Donnie
Wahlberg plays Horst Cali, the hostage negotiator that must go up against Mr. Wolf and convince him to let the hostages free. The series is an eight-hour event, beginning with tonight's two-hour premiere.

The Next Food Network Star (Food Network, 9 p.m. ET)
Season Finale. Since JAG lied about his military and culinary background and withdrew himself from the competition,
Amy and Rory go head to head in this season's finale. The female duo will venture down to the South Beach Food & Wine Festival where they'll cook up a meal for the current Food Network stars. Hogan Knows Best (VH1, 10 p.m. ET)
Season Premiere. Hulk Hogan and his family are back for round four of their reality show. Settling into their new home, the Hogans have more problems than just daughter Brooke's many recent
appearances on TMZ. Hulk and Linda are facing marital problems and begin visiting a marriage counselor to start mending their relationship. As for the kids, Hulk finally has to have "the talk" with son Nick, and Brooke wants to move out against Hulk's wishes.
Design Star (HGTV, 10 p.m. ET)
Season Premiere. The 11 finalists have been chosen, the judges - Vern Yip, Cynthia Rowley and Martha McCully - are back, and they're heading to Las Vegas! After each challenge that tests the creativity
and skill of the designers, one will be eliminated, and the others will be one step closer to their chance of winning their own show on HGTV. Stay tuned to find out if this season's talent will stack up to last year's, and if there will be another David Bromstad in the bunch. CNN-YouTube Presidential Debate (CNN, 7 p.m. ET)
The Democratic presidential candidates gather in Charleston, South Carolina for this debate in which questions
will be submitted by voters via YouTube. Anderson Cooper will moderate this 21st century style debate. The Republicans will have their go at the YouTube approach in September.
CMA Music Festival (ABC, 9 p.m. ET)
The hottest talent in the country music industry hit Nashville for a four-day music celebration. Scheduled to perform are Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Big & Rich, Brooks & Dunn, Sara Evans,
Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire, who will sing a duet with Kelly Clarkson. The special will also spotlight several country music fans who will be surprised with a one-on-one with their favorite country singer at the festival.
Saving Grace (TNT, 10 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Academy Award-winning actress Holly Hunter stars as Grace Hanadarko, a cynical police detective who bathes in self destructive behavior. Whether it be drinking too much or sleeping
with too many men, Grace doesn't exactly do what's best for her. That is until one night, while drinking and driving, Grace's car hits a man. She asks for help and an angel named Earl appears (Leon Rippy, Deadwood). Earl takes Grace on a journey, trying to help her before her chances run out.

Damages (FX, 10 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Glenn Close stars in this legal thriller as Patty Hewes, the most admired and vilified high stakes litigator in New
York City. Patty, along with Ellen Parsons (Rose Byrne), her young protégé, becomes entangled in a class action lawsuit against the country's wealthiest CEO Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson). This isn't just about arguments and money, there's lots of blood and murder as well.

The Next Best Thing: Who is the Greatest Celebrity Impersonator? (ABC, 8 p.m. ET)

Now that the six finalists have been chosen, auditions are over and the inventors can begin their focus group testing and
meetings with advisers. Each inventor must complete their prototype within their $50,000 budget. The judges will then choose the top three inventions, and those finalists will compete for viewer votes in the finals.
S.O.B.: Socially Offensive Behavior (BET, 10 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. D.L. Hughley hosts this hidden camera show that takes a look at social taboos. Unaware, everyday people
will be caught reacting to ridiculous situations that will expose their true feelings on racism, stereotypes, politics, social class, religion, and more. In the pilot, unsuspecting people will find themselves in a racially segregated restaurant.
Top Chef: Watch What Happens Special (Bravo, 10 p.m. ET)
Reunion. Bravo's Andy Cohen brings together contestants from seasons past and present for a reunion. Host Padma Lakshmi, judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and Ted Allen join in for the fun. Previously
unseen footage from the past seasons will also be included, although the most interesting is usually hearing what the chefs have to say about being on the show, winning, and being eliminated. Join season one's Harold Dieterle, Lee Anne Wong, and Dave Martin, season two's Ilan Hall, Sam Talbot, Cliff Crooks, and Michael Midgley, and the first five eliminated chefs from the current season as we hear what they're currently up to, and their take on how it all went down on Top Chef.
Hot Ghetto Mess (BET, 10:30 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Unlike S.O.B.: Socially Offensive Behavior which uses hidden cameras, Hot Ghetto Mess confronts social issues using man-on-the-street interviews, videos, pictures, and
music. Charlie Murphy hosts this comedic look at prevalent images in pop culture from the booty shake to people who are celebrities for doing absolutely nothing.
Lil' Bush (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m. ET)
Season Finale. It's an episode many people might want to see happen in real life. Lil' George fights with Lil' Mikey Moore
over the American institution that is the hot dog. Then, the Lil' Dems dare our baby president and his cronies to sleep in the White House's haunted attic.
THURSDAY, JULY 26
Who Wants to be a Superhero? (Sci Fi, 9 p.m. ET)
Season Premiere. Who doesn't want to be a superhero? In this second season of Stan Lee's reality show, eleven superhero finalists compete to become real-life superheroes. Throughout the season, the
hopeful heroes will be tested for courage, integrity, self-sacrifice, compassion, and resourcefulness - what other reality show actually rewards people for such traits? In the end, one winner will be chosen with their superhero character living on forever in a Stan Lee comic book.
Mind Control with Derren Brown (Sci Fi, 10 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. Derren Brown doesn't just read other people's minds, he can control them. He built up his reputation with such setups as convincing a man that the sun has disappeared and, after calling a
random woman on a payphone, she listened to what he said and then fell to the concrete in a deep sleep. In the pilot, Brown conducts an experiment over the PA system at a shopping mall.
I Hate My 30's (VH1, 10:30, p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. This scripted comedy offers a humorous look at life in your 30's. As the pilot episode says, "There's an
awful lot to hate about your 30's." Whether it's your job, your looks, your relationship, or your home, this show touches on all of it and how your life changes during this decade.
Welcome to the Parker (Bravo, 11 p.m. ET)
Series Premiere. The Parker Palm Springs hotel is one of the nation's top five-star resorts, meaning its clientele are A-listers and the hotel has to somehow keep up with their demands. The rich and famous
use the hotel as a retreat, and it's up to the staff to keep it has perfect as possible, which is probably why famed Parker designer Jonathan Adler (also of Bravo's Top Design) hired a full-time "pillow fluffer." In the premiere, a food critic and a group of ping pong players check in to the hotel. Also, the performance of the staff is evaluated.
FRIDAY, JULY 27
Monk (USA, 9 p.m. ET)
In this episode titled "Mr. Monk and the Naked Man," Monk sees more than he wants to or needs to at a nudist beach while
he investigates a murder there. Angela Kinsey, Alfred Molina and Diedrich Bader guest star.
Born Country (CMT, 10 p.m. ET)
Season Finale. The docu-reality series that reveals aspects of viewers' lives ends its season with a look at One Lap of
America, a 4,000-mile road race with 100 drivers.
