What are the realities new employees can expect to face as they begin their first jobs, especially young Black employees? How can they prepare for their first day at work? If they are unhappy, feeling unheard or unwelcome at work, what paths can they take? What are the available resources to learn more about opportunities to grow within the same company and within the media and advertising business? Moderator Gail Ayala Taylor, founder of RISE Career Launch, and panelists Ken Fennell, Manager, Sales Operations, Ampersand and Awa Badiane, Executive in Residence at MediaVillage, share advice and council on interview and internship follow-up communications, making personal and business connections, addressing concerns, exploring options and opportunities, and deciding on next steps.

MediaVillage and AdvancingDiversity.org recently hosted Black Talent Career Week, which focused on attracting and retaining Black talent in media and advertising professions. Across 16 hours of original content, more than 40 leaders of the advertising, media, marketing and entertainment community shared insights, resources, career guidance and job opportunities. You'll find all of those conversations at AdvancingDiversity.org. Interested candidates and those exploring new roles are being invited to submit their resumes here at MediaVillage.com.
