With 17 networks and even more digital offerings in its expansive portfolio, it’s not surprising that Discovery Inc’s hospitality suite at CES would be a hub for marketers and media execs attending the show.  Of a record 180,000 attendees at the Consumer Electronics Show (which should be renamed the “Center of Everything Show” now that tech, data and media are all so electronic), an impressive cross-section of execs passed through their suite at the Sands before and after show floor tours.

I'm taking advantage of the Discovery oasis -- which offered sustenance for those who’d been led through miles of Smart Home, 5G, health tech and drone displays -- and used another cool tool debuting there -- Clipisode -- to capture and share some fun and informative takeaways each day.

In this Day One video, I asked which interesting products or brands executives and others had seen so far.  Lyle Schwartz, President of Investment, GroupM, is intrigued by new tech that’s powering the health area, and how data from that area will apply to advertising efforts; Michael Roth, Chairman/CEO of IPG, is a fan of drones (but admittedly hasn’t stuck the landings yet), and the hosts of Flip or Flop Vegaswould love to add smart refrigerators to their next (or own!) home renovation.  Hear from Cynthia Ferngren of Altro Smart and actual Smart Home expert and journalist Carley Knobloch as well as IPG Media Labs and podcast host Scott Elchison in the video above.  Their answers were varied and interesting.
