Kim Kelleher, recently promoted to Chief Commercial Officer of AMC Networks,  shares in our Legends & Leaders conversation how her expanded responsibilities are responding to the reality that "things move at the speed of light and we're all chasing the consumer as they fragment and make their own choices about how they're going to consume media." In her new role, Kim is tasked with the responsibility to lead both distribution and commercial revenue as they converge and as digital and linear TV come together. "It's a very exciting time to be tapped for this responsibility, as I do believe distribution and commercial revenue are converging," she says. In our wide-ranging conversation Kim offers a behind-the-scenes look at the plans, strategies, priorities and future goals of AMC Networks. This is a must-view for all those interested in the future of television advertising and content distribution.

At AMC Networks, she emphasizes, “We think it's important to have diversity in front of and behind the lens, and to make sure that everything from ideas, to writers' rooms, to conception, production and edit is all representative. Because truly what we've seen is differentiation in engagement from the audiences you're looking to reach, when you're thoughtful and intentional every single step of the way, more than compensates than if you're only looking at numbers. It more than pays for itself. That's a commitment we are fully on board for."

Kim's comments will be featured during the media and advertising community's collective Black Talent Outreach Week October 17-20, live streamed at MediaVillage.com and AdvancingDiversity.org.
