Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

I still TiVo Live with Kelly & Michael every day, but I only watch it when someone I'm into is on. Yesterday, Jerry Seinfeld was guest hosting with Kelly while Michael was on vacation which reminded me that Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premiered last night. YEAH!!!!! I apologize for forgetting to remind you all, and I obviously forgot to include it on my list of what I'm watching or in the premieres & finales list. This is why someone needs to invent the computer DVR. If I had that, I'd have a season pass and it would have just been in my queue waiting for me. I'm so happy it's back and now Jerry has a sponsor...Acura. In the first episode of Season 2, it's Sarah Silverman's turn to go for coffee with Jerry and it's hilarious. The show is longer this season, but it flies by, (even with the Acura product integration). I love the shots of the coffee, all the scenes in the car and I now have a new word that I will begin using as soon as possible..."out ordered". I happen to be THE BEST orderer at any restaurant I go to...you'll see what I mean when you watch. There was a Bizzaro Jerry moment though...check out Jerry's kicks and you'll know what I mean. So happy CiCGC is BACK! Check it out!

The Hero

I'm into this show, we've established that already, but I'm still not clear what happens at the end. Does everyone win? Nobody gets voted out so who gets the money? I'm not sure. Anyway, this week, The Rock was still very shiny and sweaty but I think it's also because his clothes are super tight to show off his massive muscles which I seem to be more impressed with each week. Last night, the first challenge was for 6 of the players to run around the ghetto of Panama to find 3 places in photographs. While that was going on, The Rock offered Darnell 35K, which he turned down, but then Sean took the deal because he's broke. This made all of the challenges harder for the rest of the team. I still sort of felt for Sean, especially when he did come clean and tell the team that he was the one who took the money before they all pulled each other's hair out. The 2nd challenge had Athena, Darnell and Marty pushing The Rocks truck 8 blocks but since they couldn't get it done in time. The team elected Darnell to compete in the Hero's challenge which was RIDICULOUS. I don't know why they all want to do it so badly. He had to run all over a dry dock to find a sledge hammer and run all the way back to this crate that 50K was in. Use the sledge hammer to break open the crate but at that point the dry dock was filling up with disgusting water. Once he broke open the crate he had to use a wrench to open a box. The entire time he's doing this, The Rock is standing above him shouting "motivating" things like, "think of your family," OMG it was so annoying. Darnell ran out of time and was exhausted. While he didn't get the money...The Rock still called him a Hero. Doubt that made the guy feel better though.

NEWS & INFORMATION:

-The Gannett Company bought the Belo Television Station group for 1.5 billion dollars, making them the 4th largest station ownership group in the US.

-As you know, this blog is a Honey Boo Boo free zone, but I HAVE to mention this one because, I seriously thought my head was going to explode when I heard it. To celebrate the premiere of the new season of Honey Boo Boo, TLC's big idea is "Watch and Sniff". 10 million scratch and sniff cards will be distributed via People Magazine, Us Weekly, and other outlets and viewers will be able to get a whiff of the smells of the Boo Boo Family. I swear! I'm not lying. It's true! Can you believe that?

-HBO renewed Vice for a 2nd season and MTV renewed Girl Code for a 2nd season...anyone watch those?

-Not looking good for Brooklyn DA...CBS moved it to Saturday's at 9 and you know what it means when any show is moved to Saturday night. Cancellation pending.

-The headline of the article said "All-Star Lineup of Judges Added to the 2013 Miss USA Competition." So of course, I had to know who these "All Stars" were immediately. After reading this list, would you classify ANY of these people as "All Stars"? Bob Harper, Betsey Johnson, NeNe Leakes, Wendie Malick, Jessica Robertson, Larry Fitzgerald, Nikki Bella, Mo Rocca, Christina Milian. Any considered an All Star to you? I had to look up 4 of them. All-Stars? Will any of them get you to watch the show? COME ON DONALD? That's all you could get?
