Social networking sites have exploded rapidly in recent years, and are neck-in-neck with search in terms of consumer traffic. They can't be ignored any longer.

With the huge amount of traffic many of these sites have, and their ability to target advertising and give your company pages exposure, you'd be wise to spend the time to evaluate the sites that might be appropriate for your products or services.

Your presence on social media networks should reflect your commercial and web page, so that the product, offer and price are all consistent. In addition to a company page, check out what competitors are doing on these sites to learn other ways you can take advantage of the huge audiences that regularly spend time on these sites.

Finally, there is a tremendous amount of free information about developing your social network presence, which you can find by Googling words like social networks, social media, etc.
