George Lois is one of the most creative, prolific advertising communicator of our time. His "I Want My MTV" campaign is legendary. 38 of his iconic Esquire covers are in a permanent collection in the Museum of Modern Art. The Nation Magazine, a celebrated weekly of news and political opinion, has been continuously published since 1865. Because George Lois has been a long time subscriber it asked him to appear in an ad. The resulting ad - see below - is unique and innovative mix of Mad Man, George Lois and attention getting copy. There's no question that even when George Lois is in an ad; it's just as powerful as when he creates one.
