Parent of MediaVillage and The Myers Report Adds Eight New Team Members

MyersBizNet, the parent of MediaVillage and The Myers Report, has announced the addition of several new team members including John Bishop, Jeff MinskyandLarry Novenstern, to enhance its leadership in business-to-business market intelligence and content marketing serving the media, marketing, advertising and entertainment communities.  Bishop reports to MyersBizNet founder Jack Myers as Head of Media Insights and Research for The Myers Report, responsible for delivering B2B industry knowledge from Myers' syndicated and custom research studies to drive more informed, confident decisions across the marketing ecosystem.  Minsky is joining as Editor and Lead Analyst for The Myers Report,responsible for expanding market insights and intelligence delivered to the MyersBizNet community of more than 120-member companies.  Novenstern joins MyersBizNet as Director/Marketing Partnerships, tapping into his nearly 40-years of experience building innovative partnerships with brand marketers, agencies and media companies.

MyersBizNet has also expanded its research, content and social marketing teams with the addition of Yijie Zhu as Research Analyst for The Myers Report, Hayley Ann Virgil as MediaVillage Assistant Editor, Paul Keegan as editorial coordinator for MediaVillage, and Amanda Keaton and Steven Tsakanikas as MediaVillage Social Media Coordinators.  Hayley, Paul, Amanda and Steven report to MediaVillage Head of Content Strategy E.B. Mossin collaboration with MediaVillage EditorEd Martin.

Bishop has two decades of market research and strategy experience providing consumer and B2B insights to clients across a range of industries, including media, technology, retail and healthcare. Starting his career in B2B data analytics with IBM business solutions at Ogilvy, he joined MyersBizNet from System1 Research (formerly BrainJuicer) where he advised advertisers by applying behavioral science research to grow brands through understanding the emotional drivers of decision-making. He has also led strategy and insights teams at Digitas and MediaCom, and managed media and technology client relationships at GfK. He's a graduate of Purdue University.

Minsky is best known in the media community for his leadership in emerging media at Omnicom Media Group, where he served in several roles including Director, Emerging Media Investment and OMD's National Director of Emerging Media. Jeff has advised senior level marketers on the latest technologies and their impact on media consumption.  He established the NEXT Emerging Media Consortium, which counted among its members: FedEx, Visa, Bank of America, Clorox, Hilton, McDonalds, Coty, Hershey's, and Anheuser Busch. He is one of only a handful in the industry with not only a strong mix of traditional and digital knowledge and experience, but experience on all sides of the business: agency, client, and media sales. He was co-author and lead negotiator for the 4As/IAB Industry Standard Terms and Conditions for the Buying of Digital Media. Jeff's career includes roles at DeWitt Media, Ogilvy & Mather, Rapp Digital and Unruly and he's a graduate of Yeshiva University.

Novenstern is recognized for his leadership in building sports marketing partnerships while a senior executive at BBDO, after beginning his career in media buying at D'Arcy and J. Walter Thompson. From 2001 to 2005 he led broadcast and cable network buying for Deutsch, Inc, where he developed in-program enhancements for all Deutsch clients including Revlon's All My Children and Mitsubishi's The Restaurant. He then joined Optimedia International, a division of Publicis, as EVP Managing Director, where he managed national broadcast, emerging media and digital assets, and all sports marketing related opportunities. Most recently, Novenstern served in partnership roles with The Tennis Channel and Estrella TV and he's a graduate of Syracuse University.

Zhu holds a Master's Degree in Information Management and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Data Science from Syracuse University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She has interned at Dun & Bradstreet and Nielsen with experience in market research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, survey development, conducting interviews, and reporting. Keegan has a Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of Limerick and a Bachelor's Degree in English and Information Technology from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Virgil has served as copy editor, researcher, freelance writer and social media coordinator for Philadelphia Magazine and Philadelphia Wedding and other publications. She earned her B.A. in English and Professional Writing at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining MyersBizNet, Keaton was Data Quality Editor for Comcast in Philadelphia, working with VOD content and programming. She earned her B.A in Communication with a focus in Mass Media and Journalism from La Salle University and has interned at 6ABC and 900amWURD Radio. Tsakanikas previously led the digital strategy for Skyscraper Sports, and Proprietor Lifestyle, successfully growing each brand's online presence on multiple platforms. At CUNY Baruch College, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems with a minor in Communication Studies.
