MyersBizNet Announces Additional Leadership Promotions -- MediaVillage is pleased to announce that it has appointed award-winning marketing journalist and editorial leader Ginger Conlon as MediaVillage editor-in-chief. The move is an integral part of the company’s extensive growth strategy and expansion plans.
As a key appointment supporting the continued growth of MediaVillage, Conlon will be leading MediaVillage’s incisive editorial strategy. Additionally, she’ll be collaborating closely with E.B. Moss, head of strategic content marketing for MediaVillage parent MyersBizNet, to support the company’s members and ensure their ongoing success. Ed Martin, who has served as MediaVillage editor since its launch, has been promoted to MyersBizNet Editorial Director, with primary initial responsibility for the growth of MyersBizNet’s TV/Video Download and Creativity Insites platforms.
During her notable career covering marketing and customer experience, Conlon has managed editorial operations for several category-leading publications. Her roles have included editor-in-chief of Direct Marketing News, editorial director of 1to1 Media, and editor-in-chief of CRM magazine. Most recently, she was U.S. editor of global advertising, marketing, and media publication The Drum. Conlon was honored with a Silver Apple lifetime achievement award by the Direct Marketing Club of New York (DMCNY) in 2015 for her contributions to the marketing industry.
“Ginger is among our community’s most experienced and trusted editors and journalists,” commented MyersBizNet chairman Jack Myers. “Most importantly, she has a deep and credible understanding of the transformed B2B marketplace and a history of introducing innovative and creative journalistic solutions. We’re proud and excited to welcome her to the MediaVillage team.”
“MediaVillage’s mission to advocate for the industry resonates strongly with me as a long-time devotee of marketing and advertising,” Conlon said. “I’m keen to be a part of a team so dedicated to supporting the industry and driving critical changes that keep it moving forward.”
In addition to her responsibilities at MediaVillage, Conlon currently serves as president of DMCNY and as an advisor on the Environmental Defense Fund’s Digital Advisory Council. She also serves on the Marketing Advisory Board for Baruch University’s Allen G. Aaronson Department of Marketing and International Business. Conlon holds a BA in advertising from Penn State.
Conlon is one of several key hires MediaVillage has made over the past several weeks, including Jeff Minsky as Editor of The Myers Report; Mark Altschuler, who will lead member relationships in the Advanced Media category and Lisa Radist, who, along with Ed Martin, will lead the company’s West Coast expansion.
