This is the last in a four-part preview of the 2015 Mobile World Congress.

Mobile devices have become an integral part of the purchase process. The balance of power is shifting away from those facilitating the transactions and toward those actually conducting the transaction.

Despite a complex, fragmented and constantly changing landscape, the forecasted growth of global mobile purchases (payments) will increase significantly across the globe, from $120B in 2012 to $1.5T in 2017.

There are over 1900 companies that are exhibiting at Mobile World Congress. How do you sort and select the right companies to visit during your time in Barcelona? Today, we are focusing on payment companies. Here are a few of note:

MeaWallet specializes in end-to-end mobile wallet services and mobile solutions, enabling secure contactless and remote mobile services to banks, access control providers, mobile network operators and retailers. MeaWallet’s mobile services can be enabled to perform contactless payments in-store as well as remote payments for m- and e-commerce.

MoneyOnMobile is authorized by Reserve Bank of India to set up a semi-closed payment system in India. My Mobile Payments Limited is one of India’s leading mobile payment solutions companies, through its MoneyOnMobile brand; a service aimed at bringing quick, simple and efficient mobile payment solutions to everyone.

UK-based Bango provides users with a smooth payment experience. Bango’s presence across the web creates a platform effect for partners, identifying hundreds of millions of users and maximizing the number of one-click payments. Amazon, Samsung, BlackBerry, Facebook, Firefox Marketplace, Google Play, Windows Phone Store and major mobile brands including CNN and Cartoon Network plug into Bango.

For those who may not know (as improbable as that seems) PayPal is available to people in 203 markets with 162 million active digital wallets, allowing customers to get paid in more than 100 currencies.
