Several fascinating results from the new Myers Survey of Advertising Executives on Online Media Value and Sales Organization Performance will be reported in Jack Myers Media Business Reports over the next several weeks. Subscribers will have access to the full detailed reports at www.jackmyers.com later this month and can request detailed reports via e-mail to maryann@jackmyers.com . This week's report focuses on Category 2: Sales Organization Quality and Customer Service, one of five performance categories evaluated for 80 online sales organizations. While Google remains a steadfast industry leader in sales support and service, several of the major media stalwarts lost their leadership mantles to an impressive group of digital native newcomers who now assume the crowns as Best Overall Online Sales Organizations. The full Best Organizations list will be reported in early October. Last week's report shared insights on Category 1: Clarity of Offer & Value. Both last week's and this week's reports are now available by request in PDF format.

While Google was the highest rated among the top 25 online sales organizations for "Quality of Sales Organization and Customer Support," relative newcomers Pandora, LinkedIn, Huluand YouTube fill out the top 5. But when mid-size online sales organizations (based on the number of respondents doing business with each organization) are added into the mix, even long-time champion Google is bested by music industry powerhouse Vevo and ad sales network Undertone Networks, which recently acquired the video ad sales group Jambo. Also capturing honors in this year's Myers Report, and competitive with the leaders, are IGN Entertainment, Amazon.com, Brightroll, 33Across and blip.tv.

Among the 30 Legacy Media Organizations included in the report, Nickelodeon Online Sales was the top rated again this year. Rounding out the top ten among 30 legacy media sites were Weather.com, MarthaStewart.com, CBSNews.com, NYTimes.com, Turner/SI.com, ESPN.com, CNN Digital, WSJ.com and Washington Post Digital.

The online sales organizations of legacy media brands rate significantly better among full-service advertising/TV media agencies, while digital native organizations performed better among digital agency executives. Ironically, Google's organization rated higher among full-service agencies than digital agency executives.

In addition to digital and full-service agencies, the full Myers Report provides details on several respondent groups. All corporate subscribers will have access to all reports later this month and they will be available for download at www.jackmyers.com in early October. Category1 and Category 2 Reports in PDF format are available by request.

Full methodology details are incorporated with each report. Each subscribing sales organization will receive a detailed comparison report on all 80 sales organizations.
