If content is king—as its creation and distribution have become democratized--then content technology is surely its queen.

The union of the two is producing unprecedented new opportunities and innovation in how creativity is expressed and distributed. The challenge is bringing everybody to the table at the same time.

Unfortunately, there is no match.com pairing emerging content technology companies with media agencies and creative shops.

And since identifying, deploying, evaluating, and activating marketing innovation through technology is a critical element in success—or failure—today, there is a clear and present need for these opportunities that bring all industry constituents together.

This dynamic is a reason why high-profile conferences and shows like Cannes and CES have partnered with MediaLink to help them evolve into robust, vibrant "idea" marketplaces – extending beyond their traditional roles as award shows, product bazaars and seminar series.

Through one of these partnerships with the Lions organization, MediaLink developed and launched Tech Talk - a series of curated sessions that feature the leaders of some of the most intriguing companies across the digital-marketing value chain - in 2012 as an official programming track in the Palais at Cannes.

In partnership with the Omnicom Media Group (no strangers to creativity and innovation by any definition) and in collaboration with the Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity, the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region's premier festival for the communications industry, we are bringing Tech Talk to Spikes in Suntec City, Singapore, Sept. 15-17.

At Spikes, we will present a total of six talks from leaders of APAC's most forward-thinking digital media and marketing companies. Just as at Cannes, our objective is to create direct interaction between media/marketing executives and the leadership of visionary companies like Baidu, TriNax, Videology, Amobee, and Unified Social.

This is how the future is made in marketing communications in a digital ecosystem.

With the help of OMG's Cheuk Chiang and Laura Gordon and SPIKES organizers Philip Thomas and Terry Savage, MediaLink is able to provide the forum for emerging companies to have a direct dialogue with the biggest players in media and marketing. Anywhere on earth.
