Streaming—while it's undergone a massive evolution in recent years—is now an important piece of the marketing puzzle. It's a bonafide mainstream media viewing platform and OTT's future is bright. With new entrants (both legitimate and otherwise), and viewing and advertising standards continuing in evolution, this next decade is sure to be a fascinating journey for all stakeholders.
There are still dimensions of streaming that will need to evolve in order for OTT to truly thrive as a marketing channel. Scale and unification, targeting, and quality, to name a few. However, as TV continues to be redefined in this decade, streaming will be central to its future.
