In honor of Native American Heritage Month, here are three people who are bringing awareness to their heritage with their TikTok platforms. Zane Switzer, better known as @IndigenousZane, is of Nahua and Otomi descent. He started on TikTok because he wanted to educate people on Indigenous history. Verna Volker (@nativewomanruns) is the founder of Native Women Running. She uses her platform to empower other Native women to use their voices. Chad Lorenzo (@ashkiijosh) focuses on educating others through art and music. He is a member of the Navajo tribe in the Southwest and creates content highlighting culture, dance, art and language.
