1. According to a new survey from the National Health Institute the number one complaint people have today is "not having enough time". Women much more so then men.

2. At present there are over 30,000 magazines published in the United States; plus foreign editions that are sold at major outlets. While the majority of most magazines have loyal hard core followers whether the topic be chocolate, gardening, skiing or Oprah; there does exist a certain degree of sameness and overlap with many major women's titles.

3. Magazines for the most part do not overwhelm and while perhaps providing a surplus of choices; the involvement between the reader and a magazine is a primary, tactile and a highly engaging one.

4. The Internet while providing a vast array of information, service, entertainment and timeliness second to none; is very overwhelming. The ability for anyone to create a Blog or Web site; while quite Democratic overloads the option of reasonable selective choice.

5. While the consumer controls Web choices and Google acts as a reasonable TV Guide of sorts; the sorting time to find the what one truly needs and wants can be overwhelming and very consuming.

6. What's the solution? Perhaps a better Google application or even a better search engine that can take your personal data, Web history, etc. and personalize your search so it is targeted to both your demos, psychographics and Digital pattern.

7. Cablevision provides me with so many choices that I hardly know the specifics. I literally discover great programs, concerts and entertainment often by chance. Channel surfing is time consuming when one has several hundred channels to surf.

8. I think each major cable provider needs to provide a more easy to follow timely daily programming highlight page or pages. What currently exists to show you what's out there is poorly done and in itself time consuming.

9. A daily cable guide that's easy to access and follow is needed. For example, rather than showing me an endless scroll why not let me ask the daily cable guide questions such as: movies being shown between 8:00 and 10:00 tonight, today's sporting events, don't miss programs, etc. Yes, this would require a cable company hiring a few people to produce a better daily guide.

10. Norma Kamali by contrast provides a very straight forward Digital interaction that is quite targeted, user friendly and service oriented. Pass her closed store at 2:00 AM in the morning and if you see an item in the window you like just point your cell phone and order it. Maybe major media outlets need to have a better shopping and display window? Kamali obviously selects items for her window that she believes will satisfy and create consumer demand. Perhaps Cablevision, Time Warner Cable and even Google should hire Kamali to create a better promotional window of what's out there?
