New York – Vevo has today announced news of their 2020 Digital Upfront: Vevo Homecoming. Launching on May 20th at 10am PST / 1pm EST by invitation, Vevo Homecoming celebrates the enduring power of music videos and their impact on the world of media and advertising, as they return "home" to the television screen.

Vevo's upfront will feature an introduction from international superstar Katy Perry who recently premiered 'Daisies,' the first video from her forthcoming album. Katy will speak to the importance of the music video as a way of connecting with her fans, how artists are adapting to the current situation and how the music must go on.

As custodians of the music industry's most premium video content, Vevo reaches 148M Americans every month bringing fans the world's biggest celebrities when, where, and how they want them. And today, no screen is seeing a greater surge in Vevo viewership than the television, which has seen an increase of over 20% since March of this year with 61M viewers exclusively engaging on connected TV screens. Whether working or remaining at home, music videos have become an even more important part of how we experience and connect meaningfully with the artists we love.

Commenting on this growth and the return of music videos to the living room, Vevo's President, Sales and Distribution Kevin McGurn said:

"We are witnessing a demand for our music video content that has not been seen in decades, firmly aligning us with the foundational pillars of entertainment consumption. Our content is always on, never postponed, never cancelled. This is a unique Upfront season and we couldn't be more excited to have Katy Perry join us to validate the enduring relevance of the music video for our advertising partners and the artists community alike."

Katy Perry is Vevo's most-viewed female artist of all time. Her music has earned a staggering 19.1B views across her 30 official music videos, 21 of which have over 100M+ global lifetime views. Most recently, Katy released her new single 'Daisies', from her much-anticipated 5th studio album out August 14th on Capitol Records.

"This album is about me finding my resilience and that's what we must do right now," said Katy Perry. "The show must go on and we need to get innovative!"
