There are several ingredients in the "secret sauce" that has led Greg Regis to become Executive Vice President of Advertising Sales for Warner Bros. Discovery, where he is responsible for all linear and digital sales and revenue for HGTV, CNN, ID, TNT Entertainment, Magnolia Network, Travel and HLN. They include knowing your stuff, thinking outside the box, always being willing to learn, and making a genuine effort to build and keep relationships all played a part, he says.
During this conversation with Ese Ofurhie, host of The Pool, Regis reflects on his advertising and sales leadership roles. "Vision," "team chemistry" and "culture" are critically important, he says, as is "developing a customer-friendly narrative." He also talks about preparing for the upcoming Upfront season.
