Barry Frey, who as President and CEO of the Digital Place Based Advertising Association (DPAA) will be hosting the 9th annual Video Everywhere Summit on October 27 in New York, recently interviewed some of the event's featured speakers on a variety of topics. Here he talks with John Costello, former President Global Marketing and Innovation for Dunkin' Brands. Costello will receive a CMO Innovator Award at the summit.
Barry: What media do you consume on a daily basis?
John: Everything from the traditional (New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, etc.) to the new (Buzzfeed, Flipboard, Twitter, Texture, Snapchat, etc.).
Barry: What are the biggest changes you foresee for the advertising business over the next five years?
John: Keeping up with the rapid changes in how consumers consume information and make decisions on what brands to choose.
Barry: How are you utilizing digital out of home, digital place based, location data?
John: I think a multiple channel approach is best to get the right message to the right consumer at the right time and location.
Barry: What is your favorite new app?
John: Flipboard

John: Facing a big challenge to unify the country pulled apart by a negative and divisive election.
