Video: Advancing Diversity Honoree -- IPG's Michael Roth

No industry leader has been as single-mindedly focused on advancing diversity, and especially gender equality, as IPG's chairman and CEO Michael Roth. As one of eight Honorees inducted into the Diversity Hall of Honors at the Advancing Diversity Honors held January 10 during CES, Roth was recognized for his industry leadership. Roth credits his passion for inclusion to his parents' decision to stay in Brooklyn as it was diversifying – and he brought that worldview to IPG while serving on their Board of Directors.

To his surprise, he was then asked to head the company. Roth has committed his career to increasing diversity ever since. His next challenge is tackling broader representation beyond gender. “It’s embarrassing to talk about how only 1% of representation of leadership on the creative side are people of color.” See the full video above and view all the 2018 Advancing Diversity Honorees at www.AdvancingDiversity.org.
