Ambition and Passion Lead Nexstar into Becoming a Major Sports Player w/ Todd Braverman (Video)

When Todd Braverman joined Nexstar earlier this year, The CW had zero hours of sports programming on its slate. By the end of 2023, there will have been 300 hours of sports aired on the channel and in 2025 there will be over 450 hours of live sports per year. Braverman, Executive Vice President & Head of National Sales at Nexstar, has a clear direction for getting The CW firmly in the middle of the sports broadcasting landscape, which is fueled by a passion of showing sports in a way that no network has ever done before.

In this edition of View From The Grandstand, Braverman joins me to discuss The CW’s partnerships with LIV Golf and the ACC as well as the addition of NASCAR’s Xfinity Series that will begin in 2025. Listen in for a conversation of how Nexstar is looking to become a unique player when it comes to airing live sports and its ambition to go all-in as a sports broadcasting hub.
