CFO Summit Wrap-Up and Upcoming MFM Events

We've entered the month of April, and you may know what that means: MFM has just wrapped up its annual CFO Summit and is now approaching the countdown to our 63rd Annual Conference, taking place May 22-24 at the Loew's Hollywood in Los Angeles. In the very unlikely event you've not yet read about the 2023 conference, we believe it will be the best, most efficient and most valuable annual gathering yet. The conference will cover the complete range of issues and concerns that are currently at the forefront of every media and entertainment financial professional's mind.

One of the CFO Summit's attendees remarked that MFM is now offering knowledge and information more in line with education for an MBA than for a CPA. We consider that a huge compliment to the diversity of educational offerings we're striving to deliver to our members.

From the economic challenges of running your company (and finding new ways to keep your company profitable) to additional opportunities related to new technologies, legal, governmental, tax and payments issues, you'll be able to cover more ground in less time and learn from every session. The exhibit hall will be filled with companies whose products and services you need to know about. And, as always, there will be networking and social opportunities aplenty, including the Chairman's reception, happy hours in the exhibit hall, and Szabo Associates' always-popular Monday night event.

You can still get in on a discounted rate if you register by April 17.

In the meantime, MFM continues its ambitious schedule of Town Hall webinars and Member Networks meetings designed to benefit a cross-section of association members. This month one webinar and three Networks calls fill out the calendar.

The Town Hall, scheduled for April 18 at 1:00pm CT, is "Business Insurance: How to Make the Best Purchasing Decisions." Two experts -- Richard J. Leibfried from RJL Insurance Services, and Stephen W. Patterson from Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services -- will offer insight and strategies for effectively shopping for insurance, and will cover topics specific to the broadcasting and media industry including an outlook on insurance renewals.

You can learn more about all of MFM's upcoming webinars here.

Three Networks calls will take place this month. The Television Network call is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, from 3:00-4:00pm CT; the Newspaper Network call is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, from 3:00-4:00pm CT; and the Digital Content+ Network call is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16 from 1:00-2:00pm CT. These calls are open to all MFM and BCCA members and should be considered "must attend" by all those who have joined (or are interested in joining) a specific Network. See MFM's calendar of events for more details on the Networks calls and how to participate.
