Season Finale. After trapping her in the Phantom Zone, Brainiac impersonates Kara and tells Lex he is destined to defeat the Traveler (aka Kal-El). That’s a lot of plot for one episode, but we would expect no less from a Smallville season finale. No franchise in the history of scripted television pays more careful attention to continuity and shows so much respect for its own history than Doctor Who.
