There isn't very much of note on tonight if you aren't into the supernatural (Ghost Whisperer and Moonlighton CBS) or science fiction (The Sarah Jane Adventures, Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica on Sci Fi Channel). So why not head over to Hulu and indulge in a selection of episodes from the first two seasons of The Mary Tyler Moore Show (and any number of classic television gems)? Here's a fine pairing: Support Your Local Mother (from Season 1) and A Girl's Best Mother is Not Her Friend (from Season 2), both featuring Nancy Walker as Rhoda's meddlesome mom, Ida.

The Sarah Jane Adventures (Sci Fi Channel, 8 p.m. ET)

In the first of two episodes telecast tonight, Maria, Luke and Clyde continue to endure the worst first day of school ever – the building has been taken over by the Slitheen, those evil and flatulent aliens first seen in Season 2 of the new Doctor Who. As fans know, the Slitheen are intent on total world domination. As they also know, the unfailingly clever and compassionate Sarah Jane will find a way to stop them. A new story involving nasty nuns begins at 8:30 p.m. Elisabeth Sladen, Yasmine Page, Tommy Knight and David Anthony star.

Moonlight (CBS, 9 p.m. ET)

Series Return. Will Mick sacrifice his renewed humanity to save the kidnapped Beth? What do you think? Eric Winter (Brothers & Sisters) joins the cast in the recurring role of ADA Benjamin Talbot. Alex O'Loughlin, Sophia Myles and Jason Dohring star.

Doctor Who (Sci Fi Channel, 9 p.m. ET)

Catherine Tate joins the cast as The Doctor's newest traveling companion.
