Jack Myers launched Season Two of the Legends & Leaders Video Series in New York City to discuss the future of the Upfronts, the transformation of the media, marketing and advertising industries and its impact on brands. Sandra Micek, CEO, WTTW-TV/WFMT-FM (former SVP Global Brands, Hyatt) and Nick Dunham, Director of Media, Dunkin’ Donuts join Jack in this episode. Click here to see the interview. Myers invited his guests to address the young 24 year-old just at the beginning of their career and asked what advice Micek and Dunham might give them.
Micek said, “Every opportunity possible, collaborate with a group or industry outside your area.” She spoke of the need to understand how their role fits into the overall organization, where the best ideas come from and what the best quality is in getting “better work, a better partnership” here.
Dunham suggested letting curiosity inform their growth. “For anyone starting out on the agency side of the business, just ask questions,” he said. Dunham also detailed what can be learned from earnings calls and the qualities good clients appreciate most here.
Myers then asked how relationships are being affected in the age of data scientists. Click hereto watch as Micek and Dunham share their thoughts on the evolution of partnerships today, what makes the best collaborations and how to get the best campaign results.
The Legends & Leaders Video Series was made possible by a generous grant from Warner Brothers Media Sales and is presented by Jack Myers KnowledgeExchange and MediaVillage.
