Univision News Announces Comprehensive Coverage of COVID-19 Pandemic

As industry-wide efforts to keep the Hispanic community informed during the Coronavirus crisis continue to expand, Univision on Tuesday announced that it will provide ongoing coverage of the latest developments across its linear and digital platforms.

Univision News will telecast a network-wide special, Diario del Coronavirus (Coronavirus Daily), daily at 3 p.m. ET, preempting local programming and providing viewers with comprehensive coverage about COVID-19.  It has also launched a new Q&A segment on its morning show Despierta América (Wake Up America) with Univision’s chief medical correspondent Dr. Juan Rivera, in partnership with Facebook. Viewers are encouraged to participate in the Q&A and send in questions regarding the current state of COVID-19 and ways to maintain social and mental health during the pandemic.

In addition, Univision News will provide hourly COVID-19 news bulletins and will be distributing a daily coronavirus newsletter, providing insight into the global pandemic and all the latest news and information concerning the outbreak.  And Univision News will launch Todo Sobre El Coronavirus (Everything You Need to Know About the Coronavirus), a video-on-demand category available on its Univision Now and Univision apps to keep viewers up to date with information regarding the Coronavirus.
