Each September, we are reminded of how much energy and hope lives in a new school year. Unfortunately, not every child starts with the same tools. For some families, even the basic essentials like pencils and notebooks are out of reach.
That is why Infolinks returns each year to the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic. This fall marked our fourth time purchasing and handing out backpacks, books, and other school supplies to more than 400 neighborhood children. What stays with me most is not the numbers, but the faces. The excitement in a child’s eyes when they pick up a backpack. The sense of pride when our employees bring their own children and families to help. The feeling that, for one day, the entire community is pulling together.
I believe corporate volunteerism has never been more important. Research shows it drives employee engagement and strengthens companies, but the deeper truth is simpler. People want to work where their actions mean something. Communities need businesses to step in when they can. And kids deserve to know that someone cares about their future.
At Infolinks, we also connect our core business to impact. Through our partnership with Feed the Children, every ad served on our platform helps provide a meal to a family in need. To date, that has added up to more than 1 million meals.
Back to school will always be a busy season in advertising. But for our Infolinks team, it is also a chance to pause and remember why showing up matters. Not just once a year, but again and again, until giving back is as much a part of business as the bottom line.
