In this Women Rising segment, industry veteran Valerie Blackburn discusses her extraordinary career with John Sanders of Bond & Pecaro, Inc., one of MFMInSites' regular contributors. Valerie's decades in radio and digital media embody the skills required to navigate the evolution, creative destruction and ownership changes that have defined the media landscape. Valerie is currently a Principal with VKB Consulting and held executive positions in Finance with Jacor, Susquehanna, CBS Radio and Entercom. She was also General Manager of KFWB sports radio in Los Angeles. She received the Alliance for Women in Media's Legacy Award in 2022 and the Mentoring and Inspiring Women "MIW Legend" award in 2014 from Radio, Inc. magazine.
