Eight game-changing executives in media, marketing and advertising -- including industry leaders from Procter & Gamble, Budweiser, Verizon, The 3% Movement, Verizon, NBA,  ANA, Badger & Winters and #FreetheBid -- will be inducted into MediaVillage’s 2019 Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors on January 9 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.  More than 400 CES attendees are expected to honor the recipients at ARIA.

The event will introduce an innovative twist to the traditional awards format, in collaboration with Sundance Institute, which will curate Creative Tensions,an experiential approach to group dialogue where the inductees will explore topics important to them through movement and interaction with the audience.

The eight Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors inductees and initiatives are:

  • Ricardo Marques, VP Marketing, Budweiser’s Diversity & Inclusion Campaigns
  • Diego Scotti, CMO, Verizon AdFellows Initiative
  • Liliahn Majeed, Vice President-Diversity and Inclusion, NBA
  • Bob Liodice, CEO, ANA’s Alliance for Inclusive and Multicultural Marketing
  • Madonna Badger, CCO/Founder, Badger & Winters, Gender Equality in Advertising
  • Alma Har’el, Director/Founder, #FreeTheBid 

The Advancing Diversity Honors will be followed by MediaVillage’s Inclusive Talent Job Fair,which focuses on offering opportunities for candidates interested in media and advertising to meet recruiters from some of the world’s biggest agencies, tech companies and media brands that are seeking candidates for entry- to mid-level positions.  Participating companies include Active, BSSP, Crown Media, Dentsu Aegis, Facebook, FreeWheel, Google, Greenspun Media, Publicis Media, Sinclair, Sundance Institute, Turner, Twitter, Univision, Viacom and Xandr.  Candidates will be able to meet in-person at the event with recruiters from many of them.

The 2019 Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors supports employment diversity, including gender, cultural, military and education initiatives.  This year’s recipients join 2018 inductees from the Advertising Council (Lisa Sherman), Crowdfunding Roadmap (Ruth Hedges), Ernst & Young (Megan Hobson and Hiren Shukla), Interactive Advertising Bureau (Randall Rothenberg and Megan Hauck), Interpublic Group (Michael Roth and Heide Gardner), Nielsen (Angela Talton), Springboard Enterprises (Kay Koplovitz) and Unilever (Aline Santos).
