“DWTS” Pro Kym Herjavec Enters the Richard Simmons Space

For Herjavec her return to the show couldnamp8217t have come at a better time She married her DWTS partner Robert Herjavec Shark Tank in July 2016 after the couple paired for Season 20 of the show amp8211 and had no intention of returning to ballroomamp8220It was a shock to me to come backamp8221 she told me backstage after last nightamp8217s showamp160 amp8220But itamp8217s been so fun I did try to stay in shape over the last couple of years and it took a little readjustment to kind of get the legs going but I feel Iamp8217m really getting back into itamp160 Mr T is the perfect partner for meamp8221In addition to her DWTS coaching duties her limited spare time has been occupied expanding her brand amp160Herjavec will soon open a dance and fitness studio in the same hallowed Beverly Hills location once occupied by fitness guru Richard Simmons where he taught his famed amp8220Slimmonsamp8221 classesamp8220I wanted a fitness studio and I saw this article that Richard was closing the space downamp8221 Herjavec revealed amp160amp8220So Robert and I drove straight down there amp160There was a lady teaching and I asked if I could take over the lease and she said amp8216noamp8217amp8220I just couldnamp8217t bear the thought of that space being turned into office cubiclesamp8221 she continued amp160amp8220So I spoke with the landlord and she felt the same way amp160She said she was so glad someone was taking over the space and keeping it a fitness space because Richard did so much for so many peopleamp160 Iamp8217m hoping to continue that traditionamp8221Simmonsamp8217 selfimposed exile in recent years has resulted in much conjecture regarding his health and safety amp160Reports are heamp8217s fine and now simply prefers a quieter lifeamp160 Herjavec knows only too well the lives Simmons touched during his time in the spaceamp160 In fact her mother experienced it first handamp8220Mom is Australian and when she came to visit all she wanted to do was take a class at Richard Simmonsamp8217 spaceamp8221 she recalled amp160amp8220That was three years ago amp160It might have been one of his last classes amp160I had an injury and couldnamp8217t participate but I saw what he brought to his classes and the energy that he gaveamp160 Itamp8217s such a special spaceamp160 When I go in there it has his energy about it amp160Iamp8217m there every morning checking on the construction workamp8221Herjavec thanks her husband for instilling her newfound amp8220multitaskingamp8221 skills amp160Sheamp8217s up early dedicating hours to the studioamp8217s refurbishment then training with Mr T in the afternoonamp8220Iamp8217m sort of managing both as we do open in a couple of weeksamp8221 she explainedamp160 amp8220Juggling Mr T and the studio I do feel like a businesswomandanceramp160 Itamp8217s a totally different phase for me but itamp8217s exciting because I get to do what I love and Iamp8217m out and Iamp8217d love for him to come back and christen the studioamp8221 she smiledIn addition to the fitness classes which she anticipates teaching four times a week Herjavec plans to include an
