Currently, in addition to his role with datafuelX, he is President of the Janus Strategy and Insights research consultancy. Previously, Shimmel was Chief Research Officer at Turner Broadcasting, where he oversaw all research for multiplatform entertainment, news, kids, and sports brands, as well as corporate analysis and insight-led efforts. Shimmel also served as SVP, Ad Sales and Sports Research for Turner.
Before that, he was EVP at Nielsen Media & Advertising Analytics. Shimmel’s industry-rich experience includes leadership roles at America Online, WBIS, Symmetric Resources, and MTV Networks.
