
Jim Thompson has more than 15 years of writing and content strategy experience in the advertising, branding and marketing industries. He has published hundreds of articles, essays, and various types of digital and print content for a spectrum of notable names from MediaBistro and C-SPAN to Interbrand and The Motley Fool. He has also published two books of non-fiction with Random House. Jim developed a love for reading and literature early in life, and has worked as an English teacher in various capacities, from a university professor and PACE instructor aboard a U.S. Navy destroyer to an ESL instructor for gang members in jail and English language schools in Tokyo, Japan. Jim is the vice president of The Brooklyn Fishing Club, and has also done stints as a stand-up comic and sous chef. He lives in Brooklyn in an apartment poorly suited for his hobbies of scuba diving, fly fishing, and playing guitar.
