Kannan currently serves as a Director and Senior Research Analyst in the equity research department at Barclays. Apart from industry expertise across the TMT space in his current role as the lead analyst for Cable/Satellite and Media , Kannan has, over the last 12 years developed expertise in instruments across the capital structure as a result of his prior roles. Kannan has served as a credit officer for fortune 500 companies across multiple industries, a research analyst for capital structure arbitrage, convertible bonds and special situations and as a statutory auditor for some of the largest conglomerates in the world. As a part of these roles, Kannan has provided council to institutional investors and C-suite level executives. His diverse sector exposure includes Media, Cable/Satellite, Publishing, Energy, Financials, Automobile and Metals and Mining.
