Toby Sturek is Executive Vice President/Regional President of Clear Channel Outdoor Americas. He has responsibility for a portfolio of traditional outdoor advertising businesses in major markets including Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee. In addition, Toby oversees Clear Channel Airports, the world’s leading marketer of in-airport advertising, and the company’s Canadian outdoor advertising business where he serves as Chairman of the board and CEO. A member of the North American Executive Committee, Toby helps chart the company’s direction and strategy.
Toby previously served as president of Clear Channel Airports where he was the visionary behind innovative long-term growth strategies, marketing and business development initiatives. In this tenure, Clear Channel Airports was awarded 16 new airport contracts and retained 45 others. He also led the introduction of significant technology initiatives including the FlySmart™ passenger app and the ClearVision Digital Network, a television network programmed specifically for airports. In his three years as Clear Channel Airports’ president, sales increased by 21 percent, from $145 million to $175 million.
Toby’s career at Clear Channel Outdoor began in 2000 when he joined as senior financial analyst for mergers and acquisitions. He was named vice president and chief financial officer of Clear Channel Airports in 2005 and was named co-president in 2009. During this time, he directed strategic and operational financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, risk management and capital investment decisions and led the acquisition and integration of Clear Channel Airports and Interspace.
Toby graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Finance in 1999.
