ESPN Customer Marketing & Sales is the top performing sales organization among 48 evaluated by 250 advertiser and agency executives in the 26th Annual Myers Survey of Advertising Executives on National TV Sales Organization Performance. Respondents evaluated the national TV sales organizations that they are personally familiar with on five measurement criteria:

An average of 71% of respondents who are familiar with ESPN’s sales organization rated the network as a Market Leader or Market Achiever (4/5 on a five point scale) in each of these five performance categories. Closely behind ESPN is the MTV Kids & Family Group (70%), followed by MTV Entertainment Group (65%). The top 25 ranked sales organizations are listed below. There are significant variables in rankings among different respondent sub-groups. National Cinemedia is ranked second overall among TV Media Agency Executives and third among respondents who have been working in the business for 8+ years. CBS Television Distribution (Syndication) is ranked second overall among those in the business for 8+ years. MTV Entertainment Group is ranked third overall among respondents in the business for 1-7 years and eighth among those in the business 8+ years.

Turner Entertainment Sales is rated significantly better among younger respondents while the performance of Adult Swim/Cartoon Network improves among older respondents. ABC-TV and FOX-TV are the leaders among broadcast network sales organizations, followed closely by CBS-TV.
