Desperate to focus on their relationship Mick plans the perfect romantic getaway for the couple however when Olivia39s daughter Grace arrives unexpectedly announcing her own engagement followed by the early arrival of the next couple to say amp8220I doamp8221 at the inn Mickamp8217s plans hastily change quotI39m thinking this couple is destined to never have any alone timequot laughed the movie39s star Josie Bissett pictured at top in an exclusive interview with MediaVillage quotIt really doesn39t seem that way hopefully in Wedding March 5amp8221Bissett and Wagner pictured belowamp160told MediaVillage a year ago while promoting Wedding March 2 that they were onto something special with the first Wedding March movie but neither anticipated a Hallmark franchise would emerge amp160amp8220Who knewamp8221 beamed Bissett of the fourth installment amp160amp8220We had no idea going into it amp160I39ve done so many TV movies throughout my life Iamp8217d have never thought this kind of thing might happen so it39s amazingamp8220I absolutely love the character of Olivia and I39m a huge fan of Canadaamp8221 she continued amp160amp8220Being a Northwest native I can just pop over the border work hard and come home amp160I39m here on the weekends and can maintain my life here for the kidsamp8221While the theme of interrupted romance remains a constant for Olivia and Mick Bissett is quick to add thatamp8217s where comparisons to this movie and the others end amp160Olivia and Mick almost take a backseat this time as the focus switches to Grace Emily Tennant her new fiancamp233 Eric Blair Penner and newcomers Amy Merritt Patterson and Rob Andrew W Walker as the other couple planning to wedamp160 amp8220We never want the stories to repeatamp8221 Bissett explained amp160amp8220But our characters do get to evolve and that39s the major difference with this oneamp8220I39ll admit at first we started asking amp8216whatamp8217s was going onamp8217amp8221 she added with a laugh amp8220It appeared the guest stars were working more than us amp160Iamp8217ve always seen these movies as one day evolving to be kind of like The Love Boat where couples come in and we get to host them and while it39s about a new story our story is still there growing and evolvingamp8221For Bissett getting to play Olivia a fourth time is a dream amp160She admits the character amp8220comes naturallyamp8221 and is happy to do so for as long as possible amp160amp8220As a character actor you get cast in roles that definitely are in you that might be why I really love this role so muchamp8221 she revealed amp160amp8220Obviously Melrose Place was such a different showamp160 Nothing was ever based in reality so that made it kind of exhausting and after what my character Jane AndrewsMancini went through you can see why Olivia is so much fun amp160She39s carefree maybe a little controlling so I39m similar to Olivia in ways but I am superfar from controllingamp160 That39s just not my personalityamp8221She also admitted to being similar to her Melrose character Jane and 26 years later is happy Jane stayed amp8220mostly sweetamp8221 for Melroseamp8217s sevenyear run as it put her in good stead with Hallmark amp160amp8220The thing about Jane I loved was she was naamp239ve and kindamp8221 Bissett recalled amp160amp8220So many characters on Melrose were crazy There were times I39d wish I gotten to play that but in the end I39m glad I didn39t amp160Iamp8217m not good at playing a bitchamp160 Even though Jane cried a lot that character afforded me a lot of ad campaigns because I was considered amp8216the girl next dooramp8217amp160 It ended up being good for my career endorsement wise and I liked that amp160She may have been a doormat but she was a good person and it seemed people like that tooamp8221Bissett also is thrilled that through the Wedding March movies she is reunited her with former Melrose costar Wagner on a regular basis amp160amp8220Weamp8217re good friends and both feel working together and getting to know each other on this level is so niceamp8221 she shared amp160amp8220It39s also nice to be able to trust the person you39re working with and know they have your backamp8221As for Olivia and Mickamp8217s romance Bissett is happy to let that play out for as long as possibleamp160 amp8220I know people want us to eventually marry but weamp8217d love for people to be invested in new characters and new weddings and not be focused only on Mick and Oliviaamp8221 she saidamp160 amp8220Of course even if they were to get married something would come upamp160 It seems there39s always something coming upamp8221Wedding March 4 Something Old Something New will be telecast Saturday June 23 at 9 pm on Hallmark Channel as a part of its June Weddings event
