"October Road" Season Two Scoop from the Executive Producer

October Road is coming back and we39ve got some scoop about the second season Josh Appelbaum executive producer of October Road spilled the beans on our favorite characters and what we can expect next seasonWho Is Sam39s FatherWe won39t find out Sam39s paternity in the first thirteen episodes but Appelbaum said they want people to know sooner than later quotAt the end of the premiere in the final line of the premiere there39s a huge revelation pertaining to this which will kind of inform and create a new dynamic to the whole gestalt so to speakquotSo even though we won39t get a straight answer yet Appelbaum said quotWe39re not wanting to piss the audience off There will be a myriad of revelations that will inform ten years ago and what39s going on and Hannah39s perspective on itquotquotThe whole thing heats up in a big way and now they39re the cast are really killing us to find out what goes on There are things that lead toward Gavin and things that lean toward Nickquot Appelbaum explainedGavin GoddardWe won39t be seeing much if any of Gavin Goddard this season quotGavin Goddard Reed Diamond happens to be on a show Journeyman that happens to be on in the same timeslot as October Road if it gets the Monday at 10 pm timeslotquotAppelbaum added quotWe don39t really need him He39s very much a presence in the show in terms of being spoken aboutquotDoes that mean that Goddard and Hannah aren39t together if he39s not there Or maybe he39s not Sam39s father Appelbaum won39t give anything away quotHe39s a traveling salesmanquot is all he39d divulgeNick and HannahAfter the Silence of the Lambs scene see below Nick declared his love for Hannah and she never responded Well by the end of the first two episodes we39ll get her response quotYou might not necessarily like her responsequot Appelbaum said quotIt depends who you39re rooting forquotThe Silence of the Lambs SceneRemember when Nick went running through Knights Ridge and we weren39t sure if he was going to end up at Aubrey or Hannah39s house And the suspense was building and finally we found out that he was headed to Hannah39s to share his feelings for her Well the executive producers of October Road jokingly referred to that as the Silence of the Lambs sequence based on the scene from that movie that tricks the audience into thinking Clarice is running into one guy39s house when she39s really running into another Needless to say when Bryan Greenberg Nick saw he had a scene called Silence of the Lambs he was a bit worried that his character was going to turn into a murdererNick and AubreyquotAubrey is not in the premiere but she does come back in the second episode It turns out she didn39t go to Berkley but where she did go and what she did do in that time will kind of surprise people to some extentquot Appelbaum saidOwen and AlisonWhen last season ended Owen found out that not only had his wife been cheating on him but she39d been cheating on him with his best friend Ikey Will Owen and Alison ever reconcile quotIt39s going to be a long process It39s certainly not going to be that he comes back and everything will be settled by any meansquot Appelbaum saidIn fact when Owen does come back he left to go to his brother39s things will be pretty tough for him quotIn episode three he39ll be picturing all these things Ikey and Alison may have been doing togetherquotOwen will even say something like quotEvery time I look at a cloud all I can see is Ikey and Alison having sex togetherquotSo naturally Physical Phil brings up the quotInfidelity TourquotIt39s decided that Nick has to interview Alison and Ikey and get all the details of their affair And then Nick must take Owen on an quotInfidelity Tourquot bringing him to each place something happened and tell Owen the details so that his imagination can no longer run wildThat39s when it gets really juicy Appelbaum explained quotWhat39s awesome about it too in that same episode because they39re going through all these places in Knight39s Ridge Nick is also remembering things in flashbacks ten years ago Nick and Hannah when they first met as little kids when they started to date as teenagers Love in blossom is played up against love in declinequotIf you think that sounds good you39re right Appelbaum declared quotIt39s the best episode we39ve ever donequotJanet and EddiequotThat relationship will move forward but not without its hiccupsquot Appelbaum said And one aspect of the JanetEddie relationship is sure to lead to some fun scenes quotSome point early on in the season they break it to their friends and kind of go public with itquot which will spark quotfun and anxiety and conflict and some warm momentsquotUnfortunately later on in the season someone from Eddie39s past will come to town and quotbig insecurities are brought up in Janet and how everyone reacts to it is wildly unexpectedquotMore so quotIn another sneak preview of things to come in a later episode we39ll see Janet and Eddie onscreen having sex for the first timequotquotJanet will be insecure about her appearance and what Eddie will think of her and for Eddie every time he slept with a girl he lost interest five seconds laterquot Appelbaum said it39s a great scene that starts off very poignant and ends with them having a blastHe also joked that Geoff Stults who plays Eddie was very happy he could finally take his shirt off for a sceneNick and EddieWill they ever be best friends again quotThe first episode is simply about Nick and Eddie joined on this mission to get Owenquot Appelbaum said of the second season premiere aptly titled quotLet39s Get OwenquotOn their trip to bring Owen home quotWe39ll see Eddie and Nick39s old loft and be meeting some of Nick39s old friendsquotIt will be them quotultimately trying to cajole Owen to come home all the while working out their Nick and Eddie39s own shtquotIkey and The GuysNow that everyone knows that Ikey cheated with Owen39s wife their relationship is quotvery fractured for a good long while and eventually Ikey will go over to the dark side so to speakquot Does the Dark Side mean befriending Ray Cataldo aka Big Cat Probably So sadquotThere39s a very dramatic event later in the season involving one of the buddies Ikey39s going to need to choose which side he39s going to go onquot Will it be good or bad Read onAir Guitar ScenesWith Ikey gone quotThe band is broken up They do have this thing that is especially hysterical They don39t have a drummer in the band now that Ikey39s not in it so they hold auditions for a drummerquot Apparently the new guy is pretty dopey and will make for some good laughsBut the important part is this quotWe consciously do not want to have a full on jamming scene until Ikey39s back in the bandquot Appelbaum said And when it does happen quotIt39s a fcking awesome momentquot That means that Owen and the guys will find a way to forgive Ikey and as Appelbaum said they39ll blast out a great rendition of REO Speedwagon39s Roll with the Changes on their air instrumentsPhysical Phil and Pizza GirlquotHe will sooner than later actually get out of the house in an unexpected way Not in the way you thinkquotLeaving the house won39t be Physical Phil39s only storyline quotTruth be told we want to tell other storiesquot which makes sense so that Phil won39t be onedimensionalAlthough Phil39s parents will come for a visit and quotwe realize he39s been lying to his folks all these years They really think he39s been a traveling architectquot Appelbaum divulged Whoops That39s only the complete opposite of what Physical Phil really does Either way Pizza Girl catches him in the lie to his parents and that is bound to cause dramaPossible Upcoming EpisodequotIf we can get it done in time we39re toying around with doing a Stand By Me episode with little Nick little Owen little Eddie little Physical Phil going on an adventure to try and find a girl they were all in love with when they were tenyearsoldquotIn the present day the guys find out that this girl named Angela Moretti was killed in a car accident According to Appelbaum they39ve all spent their lives searching for their Angela Moretti but they39ve found it in different lovesSeason TwoquotThere are more twists and turns than all of last season Stick with us Some people are going to love some of the developments and it39s going to drive some people crazyquot Appelbaum said of the new seasonSo get ready for a great season two of October Road premiering Thursday November 22 at 10 pm following Grey39s Anatomyamp160 The following week it will move to its regular time slot on Monday November 26 at 10 pm And if you haven39t caught up season one comes out on DVD October 30th It39s time to go home again to Knights Ridge
