Michael is the Global Head of Futures & Innovation at Blue 449, where his role is to explore, educate, and find partnerships and opportunities in next generation digital categories. He is obsessed with the intersection of culture, tech, and creativity. Client experience includes strategy and digital leadership on world class brands including Kering Luxury, H&M, PUMA, Calvin Klein, Estee Lauder, DJI, and HBO.
Prior to joining Blue 449, Michael was a VP of Strategy at Zenith, using a digital-first approach to direct holistic communications planning for clients ranging from Fashion and Lifestyle to CPG. As a member of Liquid, an internal think tank and service offering for all Zenith clients, he focused on ideas, innovation, and marketplace / tech / culture trends.
A West Coast native, Michael received BAs in Mass Communications and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He sits on the Board of the International Radio and Television Society (IRTS), has taught at the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies as an Adjunct Professor, and is currently a Global EMBA candidate at The Berlin School of Creative Leadership at Steinbeis University in Berlin, Germany. He is a contributor to MediaPost and Luxury Daily, and is a former Rich Media & Digital Video Expert columnist at ClickZ.
