Matthew Greene has over twenty-five years of strategic advertising and marketing experience working with blue-chip companies. In January 2002, Matt founded Blue Ribbon Digital (BRD), a leading online advertising and marketing services firm that develops, leverages and manages large-scale online advertising initiatives on behalf of dominant retailers, manufacturers, e-commerce marketers and service providers.
With Click-to-Mortar™, Matthew is focused on closing the last mile by proving-out the model that when large manufacturers and retailers advertise online – consumers will prefer to transact offline within a retail environment.
Typically at the forefront of all aspects affecting the growth of the online advertising and media industry, BRD has helped drive the high-speed growth of Search Marketing through a combination of superior technology deployments and consultative relationships with the two leading Search Engines to continually create and build-out new Search placement opportunities. BRD has also been the among the first online agencies to utilize several new Display advertising technologies which capture consumer site-usage patterns and then target individual consumers based on their respective behavioral habits.
BRD continues to lead the industry through the creation of robust geo-targeted, localized advertising methods reaching consumers in specific zip codes, DMAs (Dominant Marketing Area), and city/state areas. Based on the positive results generated on behalf of its clients over the past few years, BRD's experience and expertise in local advertising is enabling advertisers with the capacity to reach their respective customers through all appropriate media channels such as Search, Portals, Ad Networks, Internet Yellow Pages and other online areas. Locally delivered campaigns are rapidly becoming an important component of client initiatives and essentially allow advertisers to lessen their reliance on newspaper and spot radio media while providing advertisers with an exciting and trackable alternative.
Prior to Blue Ribbon, Matthew was the SVP of Business Development & Strategy for ORB, Inc., a pioneering ROI interactive advertising agency, and was integral in helping grow this 4-person boutique shop when he joined, to a 55-person powerhouse in less than a year. Growth came in the form of new business acquisitions from brands such as Sony, Edgar Online, Citibank, AT&T Wireless, Merrill Lynch and other dominant brands.
Matt was also a Vice President, Senior Account Director with Ogilvy & Mather working with premier brands such as Unilever, American Express and Hardee's overseeing large teams responsible for all aspects of communications strategy development, creative, research, media and production – on approximately $400MM in billings.
Before joining O&M, Matt was a Senior Account Supervisor with Ammirati & Puris and participated in developing the launch communications strategy for NeXT Computers and worked directly with Steven Jobs. While at A&P, he identified a young brand called TAG-Heuer and persuaded senior management to initiate discussions with Paris-based brand headquarters, ultimately winning the U.S. business. Other brand assignments included Chiquita, where A&P was responsible for leading the re-positioning of the brand, and launch advertising strategies for several new products.
