Senior Engagement Strategist
A highly strategic, creative and client-focused advertising professional, Maureen has extensive and progressive experience both agency side and client direct. She has an established a record of success developing engagement opportunities with measurable ROI in both traditional and emerging media.
After graduating from the School of Radio and Television Arts at Ryerson University in Toronto, Maureen began her career in broadcast production at J. Walter Thompson and soon transitioned to the creative side of the business as a writer. After gaining valuable experience working with several global CPG brands, Maureen moved to Cossette where she was assigned to increasingly strategic roles, including contributing to the brand identity and interactive practices. Maureen took those skills to Leo Burnett Interactive in Toronto where she was appointed Creative Team Lead. Following the successful launch of innovative websites for Kellogg and Four Seasons, Maureen was recruited to the role of Managing Director for the newly formed Toronto office of Deepend, an award-winning UK-based digital agency.
In early 2002 Maureen launched a consulting practice to leverage her experience with brands in the growing area of branded content and entertainment. Pairing her strategic expertise with her production background, Maureen helps brands connect with content and bring meaningful engagement opportunities to consumers. She currently develops creative media solutions for clients at Canwest in Toronto where she is a member of the Marketing Ventures team.
