Michael is one of the most recognized marketers and digital advertising strategists who knows how to build and operate businesses. On July 1, 2010, Michael joined Mark Berryhill at Unconventional Partners where the firm specializes in developing content and 360 consumer experiences for brands, activation strategies in mobile, digital and portable media and working with innovative new start-ups in the advertising sector. In addition, he has joined the AdGenesis as CMO and Advisory board member. AdGenesis is a network of consumers who are matched to brands of direct interest and rewarded for their attention. He spent 23 years of his career (10 of these as Partner) with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Entertainment, Media and Advertising advisory practice.
Michael is a well-known name for architecting new digital and mobile advertising businesses where his successes include building Hulu for NBC and Newscorp., developing new advertising offerings for AT&T over broadband, mobile and IPTV (two-way TV), developing new forms of content downloads via mobile at Martha Stewart, enhancing the offerings and revenues of Coke’s “mycokerewards’ platform, expanding the traditional print businesses of Nielsen into digital, moving NBC into new, international markets and helping several airlines leverage their significant web/mobile touch points into media platforms for new revenue, among many other accomplishments.
Kelley also oversaw brand and marketing globally for PwC and their 170,000 people, including a very successful repositioning of the firm following Enron/Andersen/Sarbanes-Oxley period as well as pushing the firm to become the number preferred employer on US college campuses with a complete overhaul of the firm’s digital presence. Kelley was a founding board member for the last nine years of the PwC Charitable Trust Foundation, member of the Marketing Committee of the New York Public Library and Co-Chair of the Archdiocese of NY Annual Christmas Fundraising Luncheon, among many other charitable and civic activities.
