Stewart Hauser brings his passion for statistics and data analysis to the media industry after previously working in finance and baseball. Before joining Simulmedia, Stewart spent a year and a half as a Credit Strategy Analyst at BlueMountain Capital Management, a credit hedge fund, where he developed financial models and evaluated the credit profiles of companies. Stewart also interned in Investment Banking with Deutsche Bank Securities, where he worked in the Technology sector. Before entering the finance world, Stewart interned in Baseball Operations with the Washington Nationals during the team’s inaugural 2005 season, where he worked with then-GM Jim Bowden to statistically analyze lineup construction and the importance of speed and stolen bases.
Stewart has an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College, where he was a Sports Editor of the Harvard Crimson as well as a pitcher and outfielder on the JV Baseball team. Stewart currently lives in Stuyvesant Town.
