Unsatisfied with her administrative position at the bakery Ellie takes a leap of faith following her true passion for crafting by deciding to sell her Christmas wreaths at a stall in the town39s Leery to legions ofamp160Dawsonamp8217s Creek fans amp160Itamp8217s something her young Hallmark costars many of whom grew up watching that show often call her out for amp160amp8220I do get amp8216You played Dawson39s mom amp160And now you39re playing my momamp8217quot she laughed amp160amp8220To me that39s just wonderfulamp160 I felt very privileged to be a part of Dawson39s Creekamp8221Christmas in Love was no exception amp160amp8220A few days into shooting Brooke shared a story about me which to me made all the difference in the worldamp8221 she recalled amp8220She explained that in an episode of Dawson39s Creek I was giving advice to Katie Holmes39 character Joey and she39d always remembered what I saidamp8220Being sequestered in Wilmington North Carolina out of the limelight the Dawsonamp8217s kids had no idea what Hollywood glitz wasamp8221 she continued amp160amp8220We had no texting or internet and cell phones were fairly new so we 39d sit down look at each other and have government agent by nightamp160 It was basically the same concept but I39m kind of glad it didn39t make itquotHumes said sheamp8217s still in contact with many of her Dawson39s cast mates recently catchingup with TV son James Van Der Beek amp160She sees former TV husband John Wesley Shipp whom she calls quota kindred spiritquot once a month and is planning a little quotsecret destinationquot
