Carlos Gutierrez is Vice President of Strategy and Insights leading Healthcare Marketing for Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America.
Gutierrez’s career in the pharmaceutical industry includes 20 years in Global Marketing, New product Development and Strategic Planning at Pfizer and Amgen. His experience comprises the launch and commercialization of multiple pharmaceuticals in more than 70 countries as well as the development and implementation of multiple Disease Education and Disease Management programs.
Gutierrez has particular interest in Consumer Behavior, Health Care Communications & Advertising, the role of Traditional & Digital Media on Public health, Genomics and Personalized Medicine. He is a graduated Medical Doctor from Universidad del Rosario, Colombia; has a Master in Business Administration-Marketing/Corporate Finances from Universidad de Los Andes, Colombia; a Master in Public Health Policy and Management from Columbia University, New York; a Master in Photography from the School of Visual Arts, New York; a Master in Cognitive Neuroscience from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Spain; and is currently a PhD candidate in Medical Communications & Advertising at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Spain.
