As the CPO for FreeWheel, Jon is responsible for the strategy and development of the platforms that power the advertising businesses of the largest buyers and sellers of premium video in the world. Jon is focused on revolutionizing the way publishers and marketers transact across all screens, data types and sales channels.
Prior to joining FreeWheel, Jon led Product for GroupM, leading the development of consumer and media planning systems, programmatic trading platforms, content and creative services and workflow/optimization systems, and worked directly with many of WPP’s largest clients addressing their marketing and creative challenges. Prior to GroupM, Jon worked at FullSIX, where he designed and implemented DMPs for multiple Fortune 500 companies. He has also launched several start-ups including a digital marketing and ecommerce platform with notable clients such as Paul McCartney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Warren Buffet and Bruce Springsteen. He was also one of the original members of Webvan where he helped raise capital and executed the business plan that ultimately resulted in the largest e-commerce IPO in United States history. Jon also worked at a Media and Technology focused private equity firm where he managed NASDAQ listed blank-check companies (SPACs) and acquired distressed debt positions in companies where the firm could lead the restructuring.
Jon holds a BA from Princeton University, an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and received a “Best Business Idea of the Year” award by the New York Times. He lives in Rye, New York with his wife and three children.
