Shelley Zalis has over 25 years of experience working in traditional marketing and advertising research companies. She has held senior positions at ASI Market Research (now Ipsos-ASI) and Nielsen Entertainment. She has been well known for leading the evolution of market research today by combining innovative research techniques with technology.
In early 2000, Shelley Zalis founded OTX, which in nine years has grown to become a top 18 global research agency, with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Cincinnati, Chicago, Miami, and London.
OTX is the pioneer of the most innovative online research products today and has led the evolution in technology to ensure quality consumer experiences and sample methodologies. OTX is the originator of the multi-sourced, blended sample approach and has recently launched its third generation live sampling engine. The firm is a leader in the entertainment industry including theatrical, television, video game and print media research.
Shelley continues to go against the grain to innovate and stimulate the industry. In January 2010, OTX was acquired by Ipsos. Shelley now leads the Ipsos Global Innovation Center.
She was the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2008. A pioneer, a wife and mother of three, she draws inspiration from her children in creating new products and successfully juggles between CEO and Mom.
